Chapter 2 is all about the other theories that explain, or do not explain, inequality of incomes over time and across the world. At the end of chapter 1 WNF made a strong case that the origins of prosperity and poverty lie in institutions. Chapter 2 sets out to argues that the explanations provided in terms of geography, culture or ignorance are wrong.
This will be a nice chapter to present on as you can unpack the arguments against each of these explanations. But I would also like to see a more critical assessment from you. The book has to make some sweeping statements to drive home its point to the lay person, but I would like to hear about the caveats.
Keep up the reading guys.
